Privacy policy

You can browse anonymously. If you join our email waitlist (when offered), we store your email and any optional research answers you choose to share so we can improve the product and contact you about updates. We also use cookies and local storage for basic site preferences — you can accept analytics or keep essential storage only via the notice on the site.

What we collect

• If you create an account: email, display name, and a hashed password (we never store plain-text passwords).
• If you join the waitlist: your email, optional name, and optional answers about the bag searches and filters you want.
• Cookies and browser storage: we remember preferences such as compare selections and your cookie choice in local storage so the site works across page views.
• Optional product analytics (PostHog), only after you choose Accept analytics: page views and structured catalog interactions (search/filter usage, product impressions and clicks, merchant outbound clicks). We do not send raw search text, affiliate URLs, or form contents to analytics. You can choose Essential only to keep analytics off.
• Affiliate click records: offer clicked, source page, and timestamp. We do not store your name or email for outbound clicks.
• Standard server logs during development and operations.

What we do not collect

• Raw IP addresses in affiliate click records (MVP).
• Payment or checkout information — purchases happen on retailer sites.
• Session replay / autocapture heatmaps in the shopper app client (disabled for launch).
